Details:

I am very thankful that chip is where it instead of on the end guys nose nearly all these fragile ornaments are damaged somehow. When people look at an ornament like this on a car show, their attention is usually focused the front part or head of guy in case. Other than the small chip mentioned above, this ornament is in truly exceptional original condition.

The orange paint on bottom and both sides of top is still in great condition with no chips that I could find. There is a tiny bit of that orange paint on the top right side guys forehead. I usually drive my pickup and rarely that car so this part has been hibernating in for the last few years. It does have a few very minor scratches that will polish out but I am leaving tack to the new owner of this gem.

This may be your only chance to own a nos original ornament that is as nice one. I was able to find two other ornaments like this offered here on at time.

The last two photos of this listing show a small chip on upper pat right find bit over 4 ahead back part. That shallow chip is about 1/8 wide by long and only deep. I could have polished it off but is part of the history this item so left as was when found. I will leave it up to the new owner decide whether they want remove that tiny bit of original orange paint or not.

I am sorry for any frustration this may have caused you. They both have a considerable amount of damage to the guys nose.

This item could be the crowning touch to your restoration. I suspect that nobody has nor ever will reproduce this part because 1942 Pontiac automobiles are very scarce today due to the entire automotive shutdown here in USA during WWII. Thanks to another non-paying bidder here on, I now have the privilege of relisting this truly exceptional item again. I just found it last night under the seat of my car when was cleaning carpets.

Only the tiny chip mentioned above detracts from this fine piece and it is not nearly as noticeable when ornament installed on a car damaged nose or face detail will be. It measures long overall. I am certainly no authority on those cars so please correct me if wrong about the application of this gorgeous and rather fragile ornament. The nose and entire face most of rest this ornament appears to be in superb original condition.
