Just fit it to your vehicle, paint and install. Never been on a vehicle 38 or 39 Ford. Often missing, this shield goes under the radiator between and front of engine no pitting.

This splash pan has been paint stripped you can see that there is no Pitts repairs, welds, or rust. Factory part number is: 81a ready to fit paint, and install, needs no body work 4. Helps protect the front of engine from road slush. A must for point judged early Ford v8 judging 1000 system.
