I worked on one side for about 3 minutes with wadding polish and it revealed a brilliant shine. Up for sale is a brand new left hand driver's side radiator grille for the 1949 Mercury coupe, sedan, and wood y.
The chrome does have a film or tarnish that will polish off. From the early 1950's up until the late 70's.
My grandfather owned and operated a Ford motor co. The chrome is in immaculate condition with minimal scuffing from box or shelf wear.
